Agreement reached between BPER and the trade unions on the merger by absorption of Carige and BML

The BPER Banca Group informs that a Framework Agreement was signed today with the Trade Unions concerning the merger by absorption of Banca Carige S.p.A. and Banca del Monte di Lucca S.p.A. into the Parent Company BPER Banca S.p.A. and the IT integration of Banca Cesare Ponti S.p.A., which are planned for completion over the weekend of 26-27 November 2022, as a result of the trade union consultation process.

The agreement is in continuity with the positive tradition of concertation that characterises the BPER Banca Group’s Industrial Relations and will allow for the best onboarding conditions for the Carige Group employees, through the application of one single second-level economic and regulatory framework.

In addition, the BPER Banca Group has decided to pay a one-time allowance of EUR 250 to the Group’s entire workforce. The initiative is intended to foster the engagement of the employees who are called upon to make their contribution in the context of the one-off transactions that the Group has been involved in.

The initiative testifies to the appreciation for the people of the BPER Banca Group, which will continue to enhance the value of its human resources as they have always been an engine of growth and a key enabler of development.
