Sustainability disclosures in the financial services sector

Measures adopted by BPER Banca for the integration of sustainability risks and for the consideration of negative effects on sustainability.

On 9 December 2019, Regulation (EU) 2019/2088 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 November 2019 (hereinafter also the "SFDR Regulation") was published, as integrated by Regulation (EU) 2020/852 of 18 June 2020 (hereinafter also the "Taxonomy Regulation"), containing harmonized rules on the integration of sustainability risks and on the consideration of negative effects on sustainability in decision-making processes relating to investments and consultancy on investments or insurance in order to strengthen the protection of end investors and improve the information provided to them.

Below are the declarations required by the SFDR Regulation regarding the measures adopted by BPER Banca for the integration of sustainability risks and for the consideration of negative effects on sustainability.

Policy information on the integration of sustainability risks

The SFDR Regulation requires Financial Market Participants and Financial Advisors to publish information about their policies on the integration of sustainability risks into investment decision-making processes and investment or insurance advice, as well as how the sustainability risks are integrated into the remuneration policies.

Statement on the main negative effects of investment decisions on sustainability factors

The SFDR Regulation requires Financial Market Participants that decide to take into account the principal adverse effects of investment decisions on sustainability factors to publish a statement regarding their due diligence policies with respect to such effects.

Statement on the main negative effects of investment or insurance consultancy on sustainability factors

The SFDR Regulation requires Financial Advisors who decide to take into account major adverse effects on sustainability factors in their investment or insurance advice to publish information in this regard.
